The Binational Fulbright Commission in Jordan is pleased to announce the first round of JACEE Alumni Grants for its Jordanian and American alumni. The grant is open for applications starting July 25th, 2024, with a deadline of August 25th, 2024.

This grant was made possible by The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) of the U.S. Department of State and administered by the Fulbright Commission in Jordan.

The purpose of these grants is to strengthen the role of Fulbright Jordan alumni (Jordanian and American), increase their impact as active community members, and enhance their engagement as alumni. This will be achieved by implementing professional development, research advancement, and community service projects related to their original Fulbright grant field.

There are three types of grants available:

  • Alumni Impact Grant: This grant allows alumni to implement community service projects that support their community by applying the experience and knowledge they gained during their Fulbright experience.
  • Alumni Enrichment Grant: This grant provides funding for alumni to attend or participate in professional development opportunities that enhance their professional skills, enabling them to later share their new knowledge and skills with their communities.
  • Research Advancement Grant: This grant supports alumni in further developing their original research projects. It can be used for activities such as publication, translation, or other necessary resources to advance their research.

Financial Allocation

The Commission expects to offer up to three grants in each grant category, totalling nine grants. The maximum amount of funds per grant is $2,500. Applicants for these grants are welcome to seek cost share from other sources, but this must be clearly specified in the proposed budget and application.

The Commission reserves the right not to award the maximum number of grants or use the full amount of funds allocated for this award, if an insufficient number of proposals that meet the grant requirements are received

For more information, please refer to the grants Call for Proposal document here.
