The Binational Board of Directors of the Jordanian-AmericanCommission for Educational Exchange (JACEE), also known as the BinationalFulbright Commission in Jordan, is pleased to announce the appointment of itsnew Executive Director, Edward Prados.
Mr. Prados is an internationaleducation professional with over twenty years of executive administration andproject management experience in the Middle East and United States.
As Yemen Country Director for Amideast, a non-profit Americaneducational and training organization, Mr. Prados built policy-driven,transparent, and sustainable operations amidst some of the world's mostchallenging environments. He oversaw financial, administrative, IT, personnel,and physical plant operations; and managed numerous private and governmentexchange and training programs, including the Fulbright Foreign Student Program,the Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program, and the MEPITomorrow's Leaders Program. Prior to serving as Yemen Country Director, Mr.Prados managed Amideast’s Aden office operations, scaling a small projectoffice into a large, full-service office during his tenure there.
He also has a lengthy association with Jordan, having served asAmideast's Acting Country Director in 2011 and, as a young student in the 1980s.Mr. Prados said, “I am very much looking forward to reestablishing old ties andforging new partnerships and relationships in Jordan.”
Mr. Prados is a Fulbright alumnus who used his research grant todocument Yemen's disappearing traditional maritime culture. His academiccredentials include a Master of Arts in Security Studies and a Certificate inArab Studies from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service; a Masterof Arts in Maritime Studies from East Carolina University; and a Bachelor ofArts in International Studies from the College of William and Mary.
Mr. Prados commences his duties at the Commission on February 1,2022. He will be accompanied by his spouse, Sabrina Faber, an international developmentspecialist.
