The Binational Fulbright Commission in Jordan is pleased to announce the opening of the Fulbright competition for 2022-2023, covering four key awards available for Jordanians. Since its inception in 1946, the Fulbright Program has given hundreds of thousands of passionate and accomplished students, scholars, teachers, artists, and professionals of all backgrounds and fields the opportunity to study, teach and conduct research, exchange ideas, and contribute to finding solutions to important international problems.
Fulbrighters live and learn together with people of different cultures and become part of a global network that fosters mutual understanding between nations, advances knowledge across communities, and improves lives around the world. After they return home, they join thousands of alumni serving as leaders across the globe and in every field imaginable.
The application cycle was opened on February 1st and will be closed on June 30th 2021 for the following programs:
* Please note that applicants may apply in most fields of study, including the humanities, social sciences, science, technology, and engineering. However, master’s programs with a clinical studies component, such as medicine and nursing, are not permitted.
The Fulbright Program also provides transformative cultural exchange experiences. As Fulbright participants, Jordanian grantees will have the unique opportunity to experience life in the United States and also share Jordan’s unique culture and traditions with Americans. Fulbrighters also have opportunities for personal and professional development.
Program participants will be selected through a merit-based, open competition in which leadership potential, academic excellence and ability to adjust to life in the United States are all considered. Prospective applicants may apply by following the online application instructions at each of the program pages listed above.
Each program has its own eligibility criteria, here are the ones applicable across the different awards:
* Preference will be given to Jordanians who have little or no previous experience studying or living in the United States. Persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
