Overview

The Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) program offers an extraordinary opportunity for early-career teachers to share their culture and language while gaining invaluable professional and personal growth in the U.S.

As a Fulbright FLTA, you will teach Arabic at a U.S. university or college (as a primary or assistant teacher), enhance your English proficiency, enroll in academic courses to enhance your skills, and participate in dynamic cultural exchanges on campus and in local communities that promote mutual understanding —it’s a chance to inspire and be inspired.

FLTAs are also encouraged to engage with their host communities through conversation groups, extracurricular activities, and community outreach projects, as well as facilitate cultural events, language clubs, and language tables. Before arriving to their host institutions, FLTA will have a program orientation in the U.S. in August 2026.
